Finding Extended Solutions

Opening moves are posted on the day the challenge is disclosed. These are the first 80 moves of the best solution found. Extended solutions are posted five days after the challenge was disclosed. Overall feedback has been positive but sometimes people find it hard to get to the extended solution specially if it is the end of the month. This post outlines a way of easily getting to the extended solutions.

Let us say you are looking for the extended solution for “Solitaire Draw 1” challenge for May 19th. Adding 5 to the day (19) gets May 24th. The extended solution will be posted on May 24th. The extended solutions are typically the earlier posts of the day and hence are towards the end of the page. Later posts of the day, that include opening moves for the challenge of the day, are at the top.

Now let us say you are looking for an extended solution for a challenge release on May 30th. Adding 5 to the day (30) gives 35 which is not a valid day in May. In this case subtract from 35 the number of days in May (31) and advance to the next month to get June 4th. The extended solution will be posted on June 4th towards the end of the page.
