MobilityWare has resolved several of the issues in versions 6.0.4 and 6.0.5 of the Solitaire App and things are looking a lot better. The ‘show me how to win’ option is back!!!
We are still getting feedback about the new layout. The one isssue that bothered me the most was voiced by several of our readers:
Just a small suggestion to your ‘new look’; I preferred the icons to the ‘handedness’ for easier speed so I don’t have to look down or move my hand over.
Besides which the center placement of the icons cover the bottom cards which is not easy to ‘see’.
I was really impressed by the original design of the tab view controller for this App. The tabs disappeared just at the right time. I didn’t know that it was possible to hide the tabs till I started playing Solitaire. Also the layout of all the view controllers was just right for all the devices I have. The new layout felt like a step in the wrong direction. I could not figure out why I had this opinion but the comment above nailed the reason. It is no longer possible to play the game with one hand. The card placement is also not the best. On a smaller screen it can spoil the playing experience.
Another comment that I concur with:
I’m a fan of solitaire three draw. Since you changed the format I’ve NOT got the results of my 3 card draw… it has the choice of both 1 and 3 but the 3 does not come up on tapping in Statistics…. I’ve selected only 3 draw…but no results….
I often change between Solitaire Draw 1 and Solitaire Draw 3 daily challenges. This no longer works if the challenges are from the same day. You have to switch to a challenge from a different day and then come back to the day you are interested in. I would say this is a bug. I can at least get to the Solitaire Draw 3 challenge, unlike the reader above.

Hi – I play solitaire Vegas cumulative draw 1 option and since the new layout was launched I’ve found it almost impossible to increase my score. My best score is 105,887 with a best time of 1’22” and least moves 98. After the update my score plummeted to ~101,428 and despite playing daily (more than I should) my scores just keep going up to about 102,700 and then dropping again. This is because the overall ratio of games where I can score 55 points or more is much lower than it was. I contacted tech support but they say I am just experiencing a ‘losing streak’. I disagree as that was over 2 weeks ago and I’m still going round and round the same score level between ~101,500 and ~ 102,700. How will I ever get back to 105,887 never mind beat it? Do you know of anyone else experiencing a similar problem? Thanks
